The Dog Walker - Silsden District
I left the RSPCA as their Director for the Midlands and North of England and set up the dog walker in silsden in October 2014. I started my RSPCA career 20 years ago, when I was posted to East Anglia as an RSPCA Inspector where I dealt with many species of animals including traditional companion animals, farm livestock, exotics and marine mammals. My career in the Inspectorate concluded as the Deputy Chief Officer responsible for national operations in England and Wales and from there I was appointed to the post of Regional Manager for the North of England. In 2012 I was appointed to the board of Directors for the RSPCA responsible for the Midlands and North of England. I live in Silsden with my wife Beth, our 10-year-old cross breed dog called Stanley, an 18-year-old cat called Pickle and Lex, a 20-year-old warmblood horse who lives just up the road.
To ensure that we are available all year round with no breaks and to provide the best care for your pets I am assisted by Annalise and Lauren.
Annalise has worked with me from the beginning helping to establish the business within the Silsden area part time and has recently taken on a full-time role. Often found on the walks she also looks after the office and is always on hand for any queries. We are very flexible and one text, phone call or email to Annalise, walks can be added or changed at the last minute. She lives in Silsden with her 4-month-old Border Collie puppy, Alfred who helps her out on the walks.
Lauren has lived in west Yorkshire all her life has a real passion for animal care an welfare. When not looking after your dogs she is kept busy at home with her three horses Johnny, Oscar and Scout, three cats Bella, Garfield and Merlin, two bearded dragons Phoenix and Arizona and her Jack Russell Brecon.
It was with great excitement that I joined The Dog Walker business enabling me to bring together all my years of experience and knowledge of animal welfare and wellbeing to provide nothing but the best level of care for your much-loved pets and allow you the security of knowing that your animals are in very good hands and the safest of environments.
